Karaoke-lurv

Filed under: karaoke — Ten @ 1:23 am

What happens if a bored Ten tests her newish microphone?

A disaster.

Yes, the constant threat of producing a karaoke-ish post has arrived. I would like to blame Omo and Jeff for seeding a treacherous thought. ;p

Oh, and yes, I listened to the attempt. Ninety percent of the notes seem normal, as for the other ten… Well, the high notes and I aren’t too compatible.

edit: Erm, I apologize for the double trackback to Omo. I accidentally posted this in The Blog. ^^;

A curable ailment

I realized something. I think… I am getting bored with anime.

*gasp*

Blasphemy!! Blasphemy, I tell you. In the past month alone, my anime viewing habits have been reduced to a very bare minimum. Yikes. Should I seek intervention?

I shared my non-worries to an annoyingly perceptive friend.

“Maybe not.”, said Miz P. “I assure you it is merely the calm before the storm.”

“And how so?”, asked this blogger.

Miz P’s eyes twinkled sagely. She arched her perfectly shaped left brow and laughed.

“Well, there’s this little thing called the Otakon that you’re raving about… Unless you’ve completely forgotten about that?”

“Oh!” was all the response I can give. I smiled sheepishly.

She got me.

For an insane moment, I actually forgot my trip to Baltimore next week. It is a surprise considering I have been sharing this bit to anyone suckered into a mundane conversation. I am told, my repeated mention is on the verge of irritating, albeit tempered by the sincere excitement.

Seriously though, I am truly having relapse in the anime watching department. It is a shame considering I enjoy maintaining The Blog.

The real culprit for the uber-procrastination: A stack of Michael Connelly and Jeffery Deaver books and not to mention, guilty pleasures including a couple of Julie Quinn novels. Hee.

TV bits: A star is born

Filed under: talk, tv bits — Ten @ 1:45 am

Oh, shit. I can’t believe that the movie “Bituin Walang Ningning” is being adapted into a drama. This is seriously a ZOMG moment for me. I will definitely hunt down the episodes… Even if it kills me, damnit.

“Bituin Walang Ningning” literally means “a star that doesn’t shine”. It sounds poetic in Tagalog, though.

And I’m telling you…

Filed under: emo — Ten @ 12:11 am

I found a clip from one of my favorite singers belting out “And I’m telling you”. It’s Regine Velazquez with some gals I barely recognize.

And this is only the tip of the iceberg. Hee. This is one of the reasons why I’m hardly impressed with most j-pop, k-pop, or even Western pop stars. /shrugs.

Pardon the snobbery. I used to hang out with Conservatory of Music people back in the university. Yes, I used to seethe with envy when I hear them perform. You see, I am a frustrated singer. Seriously.

Unfortunately, the music hate me. T_T
