Karaoke-lurv

Filed under: karaoke — Ten @ 1:23 am

What happens if a bored Ten tests her newish microphone?

A disaster.

Yes, the constant threat of producing a karaoke-ish post has arrived. I would like to blame Omo and Jeff for seeding a treacherous thought. ;p

Oh, and yes, I listened to the attempt. Ninety percent of the notes seem normal, as for the other ten… Well, the high notes and I aren’t too compatible.

edit: Erm, I apologize for the double trackback to Omo. I accidentally posted this in The Blog. ^^;

    Not a problem at all.

Karaoke is love~ And a good stress reliever.

Wow… I mean, really. I never know what to expect when I’m about to listen to a karaoke attempt - I sort of tense up in anticipation of the caterwauling - but the moment you started singing, I immediately relaxed. Do you have any sort of background as a vocalist? Stylistically, it sounded very much like it.

I see that our karaoke-ing (is this a word?) paid off. ;p

I like the song. What’s the title???

  4. Ten Says:

Omo: Especially if liquid courage is introduced. ;p

Jeff: Kind words… I grew up with cousins who are musically inclined. And in the uni, I hung out with friends from the music department. I guess I picked up a thing or two.

Steph: It’s Yuki no Hana by Mika Nakashima.

  5. Hung Says:

    That’s pretty sweet!

I’ve never heard the song before, so maybe that makes me a little more forgiving, but it’s pretty good. I’d say you need to raise the level on the mic a bit though.

I’ve been meaning to run some kind of karaoke contest, but since about 0 people have mics, I figured I’d never get enough entries. Plus people are shy.

This, however, is one step in the right direction.

    A Nano-dom idol?! =D

  7. Godo Says:

Hey, Ten. Did you receive the magicsing chip? I thought your mom sent you something. Maybe next time you’ll ask her to send you a Japanese one. ;p

  8. Ten Says:

Yep, I did. And it was — still, is — precioussss.

I wonder about a Japanese one. DO they have it? Plus, it will only be useful to me if it’s in romaji or at least kana. My kanji sucks. Heh.
