TV bits: Comedy in Fall

Filed under: talk, tv bits — Ten @ 9:55 pm

One of my favorite television writer, Jane Espenson, has a new gig. It’s Andy Barker P.I.

Andy Richter stars in this new comedy series. And it get’s better. Conan O’brien is one of the Executive Producers. Whee.

This might be very interesting.

TV bits: Heroes in Fall

Woo-hoo. Aside from my beloved Veronica Mars, it seems that there will be one more series that I’ll be anticipating this coming fall.

Heroes will be included in the NBC lineup. Maybe NBC has finally snapped out of their non-creative slump.

The Unhappy Blogger

Any readers from The Other Blog, please cover your eyes because this is another one of those “I’m hating my fellow bloggers” type of rant.

I’m starting to sound like a broken record… But what the heck.

My favorite community (read: anime blogging) is starting to get watered down and, honestly, boring. The focus and attention is not anime anymore. Anime, now, plays second fiddle to the drama and flaming. Unless you haven’t guessed from my previous posts on the subject, I’ll reiterate my sentiments. IT’S FUCKING IRRITATING.

I know, I know. I can avoid this by not reading the posts in question. But even if I mentioned before that I vow to not touch them, I can’t help it. As the cliche goes, it’s like watching a train wreck.

What I’m thinking is a more drastic measure. Maybe I should retire my blog and start a-fresh in another community. Away from assholes. Of course, this also means I’ll cut ties with my favorite blogs as well. Ugh, I’m dramatic, ain’t I?

If I ever quit Duh! in the next few weeks, you might catch me on a new anime network. Right now, I’ve been recruited to write some Naruto commentaries. I’m still talking to the person-in-charge about the details. I’m not sure where this will lead.

I have a love-hate relationship with Naruto. It’s almost two years since my last entry for the series. I bet I’d have a ball with snarky and semi-humorous reviews. Eventhough I cannot create elegant prose, I’d like to think that I’ve improved in these three years. Heh, I’ve paid readers to tell me that. ;p

Oh, well. We’ll see how this goes. After writing this entry, my frustrations are slightly abated.

Filed under: work — Ten @ 10:38 pm

Gah. Whenever the person I have a crush on at work (let’s call him SB) sees me, all he talks about is anime. Seriously. Not that I mind… Too much. But it makes me wonder. Is the word “anime” stamped on my forehead? Or maybe it’s semi-flirting device. Like geek speak or something.

Note to self

Filed under: emo — Ten @ 10:46 am

I vow to stop reading anime blogs who has nothing to offer but irritate the hell out of me. Gosh. Too much drama and too much arrogance. This is getting ridiculous. It’s not worth my time anymore.

So intead of relying on the usual hubs (AB antenna & Blogsuki) and now, Anime Nano, I’ll simply use the feeds of my favorite sites. This way, there’s a less chance of being tempted to read those with controversial titles. And I almost always read anything with interesting titles.

Side note:
The Blog is still the same. I don’t know why I’ve been told that I’ve been changing my style to include non-episodic posts. Erm, believe it or not, I’ve been doing that since forever. Gawd.

As for the The Project, there’s been a major change in real life that has cut back my spare time. I’m definitely continuing with it, but it’ll be slow.
