TV bits
Damn. Heroes ep 20 is a chockful of awesomeness.
I LOVE THIS SHOW.
Gackt’s music is absolutely gorgeous. And hott too.
Here’s a rendition of one of my favorite Gackt tracks, Hoshi no Suna, which translates to Star Dust. Hoshi no Suna is the B-side of the single Tsuki no Uta (Moon song). It speaks if love and loss. It is one of my emo songs, when I am feeling blue.
I coerced, erm, I mean recommended The Boy to get a cat. And we got a boy Persian this weekend. Hee.
As for the naming game, it took us hours. He tried the name Borat. But I answered with a resounding NO. Puh-lease. He said George. I countered with Henry. Then, there’s the whole discussion of naming him after an anime character. His heart was set on Luffy. I kinda liked it but I also suggested Sanji, a name I liked better. We liked Ichigo but I don’t think little kitty will want a name that means strawberry, even if he was going to be named after the Bleach dude. Then, there’s Renji (I say cute! He says no.), Uruhara (Hard to pronounce.), Kamui (Hot, I say! But he rejected.). Then, he listed some names of athletes. I ventured to Greek heroes. We had a discussion on TV and movie characters, action lit protagonists, regency romances, Jane Auster characters. Nothing sounded right.
We went on and on for a good chunk of the day. Then we had a breakthrough. I wanted to call little kitty Mumao. The Boy kinda liked the name, even if he has no idea what it means. So he suggested to add a hyphenated Oppa. Oppa means older bro in Korean. Mumao-oppa. Hmm.
So we’ve come to call our cat Mumao-oppa. We’ll probably call little kitty Mao later on.
I love singing Chihiro Onitsuka. The altered keys, anyway. I tend to lower the keys. Like this case.
