TV bits: Dancing Confessions

WHAT THE HOLY FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! SABRINA AND MARK ARE GOING HOME????!!! THIS IS INSANITY!!!!

Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out.

I am semi-calm. Okay. Not really. Pardon the CAPS and the many exclamation points, but holy shit! Sabrina and Mark went home tonight. I am a little upset. Well, more than little. Hence, the caps and all. I am flabbergasted. Surprised. Shocked. I don’t know anymore.

I am taking a breather as I type. And I just realize that I am actually emotionally invested in DWTS. Who would’ve thought? Although I was rooting for the awesome Helio, booting out Sabrina early in the game is undeserved. Damn (again!).

TV bits: Moonlight Preview

Private Investigator by day, vampire by night. The tall, dark, and broody (and let’s add hunky) protagonist of Moonlight should have me drooling by the buckets. Alas, instead of me focusing on my normal delight over superficial aspects of the show, I find myself critiquing certain angles of Moonlight.

Vampires in contemporary LA is a fascinating tale that should not run out of style. Moonlight has stories to tell but I think the casting director miscast the actors. Tall, dark, and broody actor dude should be a good choice for the Moonlight’s angst-ridden vampire. I’ll be honest. Actor dude is hott (and I can picture him in my mind as one of those titled gentlemen in the Regency era.) You’d think he’d be oozing chemistry with any woman under 70. Unfortunately, TDB and the heroine (who looks a lot like the gorgeous Kate Winslet) does not even ignite a single spark. A pity. Even Jason Dohring, a Veronica Mars alum (love the dude!), cannot appease my annoyance. He is an excellent actor yet he is so awkward in the role as a paranoid ancient uber-vampyr.

One word to describe the pilot: Pretentious. Puh-lease. Every scene wants to shout, ‘Hey, I’m important! Listen to me!”. Everything is taken so seriously. The dialogue is so cliche. And the overall acting is so, uh, acted. No chemistry amongst the actors, at all.

I wanted to really really like the show. It has gorgeous vampires and has Angel-like premise… Maybe the next episode will be better. I should not give up hope.

ITunes is killing me. Why the heck do I need to install the upgraded version in order to download some music? UGH.

I miss my anime blog. I would revive it. Alas, I do not have the urge to watch any anime shows right now. I guess I miss having an semi-active anime blog.

Just a thought.
