Poor kid. Thank god he is finally free.
The annual NaNoWriMo kicks off next week, November 1. This is my first year joining the event.
Ack.
To be honest, storytelling and writing is not exactly my forte. You might be able to discern this tidbit while browsing this blog and my old anime blog. Let’s just say, I am more of a Science person.
Although I know my limitation, I cannot see any harm in fulfilling one of my childhood dreams. It is not everyday a person can claim she wrote a book, albeit an unpublished one. It will not be the Great American Novel. But a book is a damn book. I am psyched. A friend asked me if I would write in Filipino. I said no. Although I am more comfortable speaking my native tongue than English, I cannot string a decent sentence when composing something in Filipino. Writing in this language requires a relatively formal feel. I have a limited vocabulary in that area.
So what is the, ahem, book about? I have some ideas. Nothing solid. I tried to do some prep work but I will mostly wing it. We’ll see how it goes.
P.S. I am still considering attending the Houston NaNoWriMo kick-off.
Here is a Tagalog lullaby called Sa Ugoy ng Duyan.
I only sang the first two verses because they were the only lyrics I can remember. Anyhow, this is a warm up for future karaoke’ing. I’m in the mood for recording track once again.
song: Sa Ugoy ng Duyan
I feel the blues.
I call-in. I do not. I call-in. I do not. I call-in. I do not.
Speculations about the Glorietta blast is inevitable. However, people are starting to spin the tragedy into a political issue. How pathetic.
For now, we can only hope for a quick and competent investigation.
