I’ve been looking for Fantine’s I dreamed a dream Japanese lyrics forever, and I prevailed. Thankyouverymuch. Awesome.

If you’re a regular reader of the blog, the answer to that question in your head is yes. I’ll be recording this in the near future. Near future, meaning, after I find the time practice those high notes. And when I can record when no one’s at home. I dreamed a dream is not exactly a song you can sing half-assed. You need to project your voice in the farthest corner of the room. Or something like that. Heh.

I’ve heard gazillion renditions of this song. Sylvia Grab’s interpretation is one of the best.

P.S. I am in my showtunes mood. Currently listening to the Paris, Thèâtre Mogador 1991 recording. I have no interest in the Romance Languages, but French is damn beautiful to listen. I think this is my favorite Les Miz recording.
