P90X: Days 46 & 47

Filed under: emo — Ten @ 3:29 am

I got all confused with the numbering. So yesterday was 46 and today’s 47. You see, Wednesdays are my recovery days. Today is my last Legs and Back routine. Next week signifies week 4 of Phase 2. And I’m on to phase 3. Yay me.

So are there changes in my physique? Erm, let’s just say if you see me right now, you’d never know I’ve been sweating like a pig during odd hours of the day. Still, I’ve seen improvements; Heck, I’m proud of the improvements. I’m just glad I haven’t given up. Yet, anyhow.

I have less than six months to reach my goal. Sigh. After phase 3, I’m still deciding on which program I’ll be using. But I’m leaning on P90x again. Possibly the Classic version, except the plyometrics frighten me so. And three weight training days per week seems too high for my fitness level. Maybe I’ll stick to Lean again.

Ooh. I was asking an old college friend if he knew a list of cons in Manila. If I were to go back late this year, I would like to attend one of those events to see the difference from local cons here. So I received this link for the website, the New World Alliance. Looks like they track not only anime cons but anything sci-fi and fantasy as well. Interesting. Thanks, TJ.

I wonder if I’ll get lucky with the dates.

Jotting down impressions/detail/comments on the P90x program helps out a whole lot. It gives you a better idea of what’s needed to improve. Or so I learned from the week-long absence of this not-so-beloved blog.

The rest of the week proceeded smoothly, except for minor alterations in the routines. For today’s exercise, I went a bit insane, pairing the Chest, etc. workout with cardio and kenpo. It’s tough, but needed.

One thing that tremendously helps me to get through this program is the regular phone calls with Mother Dearest. She’s a fitness freak, and she worried for her eldest daughter who went on years-long eating binge. So she’s delighted with the developments. Heck, I’m happy with the developments.

Later, I’ll be dealing with the horrible yoga. Bah. I can’t enjoy that routine.

Testing 1-2-3.

Here and back again!

First things first. I thought I broke the blog because of a stupid upgrade. Then, I cried. Inside, anyway. I figured, the heck with it and start anew. Then, I changed my mind. Again. And again. And again. Then, I was preoccupied with laziness and procrastination. Let’s just say The Park’s offline days were spent lurking everywhere.

Today wasn’t supposed to be different. But a kindly friend lent his hand to this poor schlub. And guess what? It worked. Whew. I actually managed to figure out the database stuff. Yay me.

Now, I can whine to my heart’s content. And letting other people read about it.

C, thanks for the help. You’re my hero.
