Reading an excerpt from last year’s NaNoWriMo had me cringing. Bah. Saccharine stuff.

Bring back the 90s!

Oh, lordy. 1996~

This excellent article sums a whole lot about my love for ‘Heads, their music, and the nostalgia factor.

(The language spoken in the video is a mix of English and Tagalog, mostly English. So if you don’t understand Tagalog, you’ll probably get the gist of the vid.)

Help me, Pottery Barn!

Filed under: stuff — Ten @ 8:22 pm

I’d like to think that my personal space has morphed into a, well, grown up haven. But I’ve been observing this tiny abode, and guess how much of my geeky things are on display. It’s a lot. A whole lot than I care to admit.

Worse. It looks like teen’s place. And I’ve passed that age years and years before.

Ah, well.

Since I have a very limited budget for the next four months, I can’t afford to spruce up this little nook. And I have a lot of things in mind for a shopping spree.

I want…

1. …my BtVS S8 Jo Chen-signed poster professionally framed. (I can’t stand unframed posters on walls.) And I’m debating whether I’m displaying it or not. I’m hoping that the frame will offset the uber-geekiness of the artwork.

2. …a round bedside table, preferably in wood and steel.

3. …a few more decorative pillows. Maybe three or five more.

4. …a new comforter and a really nice bedspread.

5. …huge shelves for my books and collectible items. The next time I move, I’m converting the second bedroom as a library.

6. …a divan. For the windows. Or maybe the footboard. Although I don’t have the space for it.

7. …a new TV set. My small screen is eight years old. It still works but it is huge and bulky. Not exactly friendly to a person with a penchant for rearranging furnitures.

8. …another painting, possibly in acrylic and oil. I want to change the artwork above my headboard. I got them from deviant art. Blech to DA’s low quality frames and paper.

So far, I have eight in my list. But I’ll wait next year.
