I am starting to get annoyed with Amazon Unbox. It is f*cking with my Heroes subscription.

What?! No more new NBC shows in iTunes?? Darnit. They should made peace with Steve Jobs. (No, I am not an Apple fangirl.)

NBC is moving over to Amazon. Hm. Should I even think about getting a Heroes season pass? Or should I simply wait for BT?

Right now, I am loving iTunes season pass. And I’ve subscribed to three shows this summer, Eureka, Psych, and Monk.

TV bits: Puccini love on TV~

Filed under: talk, tv bits — Ten @ 9:35 pm

When I saw a clip from Britain’s Got Talent, I wasn’t expecting Puccini’s Nessun Dorma. I wasn’t expecting to listen to a competition and to be blown away by the talent, especially where Simon Cowell sits as a judge. American Idol, it ain’t. Thank god, because I hate that show with passion.

Whoa. I’ve watched this six times yet it still wrings out tears. My cynical self wants to say that it could be the editing of the clip that adds to this overwhelming sense of emotion. If one gets nitpicky, one can tell that some of his technical aspects needs work. But man, the emotion this man evokes is something that I want in my music. The fact that he gave his entire self singing his rendition of Nessun Dorma brought another layer to his performance. The live audiences responded. Those who watched the broadcast were amazed.

Paul Potts might not be technical perfection but then again, The Arts is not about technical perfection. Great music is supposed to touch the soul. Mr. Potts’ Nessun Dorma accomplished that. No one can ask for anything more.

I think I’m gonna cry again. Sniff.
