Oh, lawdy. I think I’m starting a P90x trend at work. Awesome. I hope they actually follow through with the program.

Tomorrow, I’m off for supplies for the next round.

P90X round 2

Okay, round one was successful. And if you’ve seen me before the program, you’d be surprised at the, erm, improvements. So yay me. Hee.

Having said that, I cannot rest on my laurels just yet. I have a long way to go before I reach my ideal size. In fact, I have four more months ahead. And proper prep is a must. I know, it’s weird to go all gung-ho with the vain aspect of weight-loss. But back home, there’s always this pressure to be in a certain size. I’m pretty sure I’ll be mercilessly teased (by my family) if I went back in Manila ballooned up like a barge. Although I’ve grown fond of Texas size, it doesn’t work that way in Manila. Or at least, where I grew up. It’s not fair, I know. But that’s life. And yes, I know I shouldn’t care about what other people think, but I do. So I’m taking precaution and preparing for the vacation.

Round two will start on Monday. I’m still doing the Lean routine instead of the regular one. Doing plyometrics is a HECK NO in my book.

By weekend, I need to stock up on food supply for the inevitable calorie counting (again!). Yup, tuna, salmon, white meat, low-sodium soup, power bars, 90 cal snacks, and so forth. Boring food plus boring salad again. I’ve been really bad with my food intake in the past couple of weeks, so it’s going to be hell to go back to the routine. It’s tough, but the results are worth it.

P90X: Day 82

Ah. Week 13 — that’s starting on thursday –here I come. Since I’ll be in Baltimore for most of week 13, I won’t be having the chance to truly finish off the recovery week. Still.

These past few weeks had been quite a trip, in both good and bad sense. The exercises were relatively doable. Push-ups are frakin’ insane. I hate yoga. I love Kenpo, Cardio and Core. I enjoy weight training. But the calorie counting makes my life totally unbearable. It is hard, damnit! But I survived, and lost quite a bit of weight. Co-workers, friends, and family noticed the changes too, which is kinda awesome.

At my worst, I weighed about the size of a barge. But slowly it dwindled down to, erm, relatively, acceptable levels. Although I’m far off from my goal for December, I think I might be able to manage it. Or at least, I’m crossing my fingers.

P90X: Day 66

Tiring workout. Why? Because my body was not accustomed to my work schedule these past two days. By unaccustomed, I mean, waking up too darn early is a pain in the ass. And early means waking up at 9a. I know that seems late to normal people, but I work a 3p-12a shift.

I started with Cardio and I’m finishing up the strength training later.

P90X: Day 62

Yes, people. I’m still doing this P90X Lean programme. Except I’ve been kinda lazy with the daily journal. Also, I’m almost done with week 9. And on Thursday, I’m week 10, baby!

Thing is, the fourth of July weekend screwed up my food habits again. So I’m having a hard time cutting back to the regular meals. Damn you barbecue and hotdogs.

BTW, it’s gratifying now that people are noticing changes in my physique. Yep, I’m miles away from my target, but still…
