P90X: Day 82

Ah. Week 13 — that’s starting on thursday –here I come. Since I’ll be in Baltimore for most of week 13, I won’t be having the chance to truly finish off the recovery week. Still.

These past few weeks had been quite a trip, in both good and bad sense. The exercises were relatively doable. Push-ups are frakin’ insane. I hate yoga. I love Kenpo, Cardio and Core. I enjoy weight training. But the calorie counting makes my life totally unbearable. It is hard, damnit! But I survived, and lost quite a bit of weight. Co-workers, friends, and family noticed the changes too, which is kinda awesome.

At my worst, I weighed about the size of a barge. But slowly it dwindled down to, erm, relatively, acceptable levels. Although I’m far off from my goal for December, I think I might be able to manage it. Or at least, I’m crossing my fingers.

P90X: Day 66

Tiring workout. Why? Because my body was not accustomed to my work schedule these past two days. By unaccustomed, I mean, waking up too darn early is a pain in the ass. And early means waking up at 9a. I know that seems late to normal people, but I work a 3p-12a shift.

I started with Cardio and I’m finishing up the strength training later.

P90X: Day 62

Yes, people. I’m still doing this P90X Lean programme. Except I’ve been kinda lazy with the daily journal. Also, I’m almost done with week 9. And on Thursday, I’m week 10, baby!

Thing is, the fourth of July weekend screwed up my food habits again. So I’m having a hard time cutting back to the regular meals. Damn you barbecue and hotdogs.

BTW, it’s gratifying now that people are noticing changes in my physique. Yep, I’m miles away from my target, but still…

P90X: Days 38 - 45

Jotting down impressions/detail/comments on the P90x program helps out a whole lot. It gives you a better idea of what’s needed to improve. Or so I learned from the week-long absence of this not-so-beloved blog.

The rest of the week proceeded smoothly, except for minor alterations in the routines. For today’s exercise, I went a bit insane, pairing the Chest, etc. workout with cardio and kenpo. It’s tough, but needed.

One thing that tremendously helps me to get through this program is the regular phone calls with Mother Dearest. She’s a fitness freak, and she worried for her eldest daughter who went on years-long eating binge. So she’s delighted with the developments. Heck, I’m happy with the developments.

Later, I’ll be dealing with the horrible yoga. Bah. I can’t enjoy that routine.

P90X: Day 37

Having had some fitness gains made me rather complaisant with my food intake in the last few days. And it shows in the scale. Bah. So the solution for the day was to add another hour to Cardio day, and I chose Core (for its intensity) as an extra workout. I’m pooped but satisfied.

If I had strength for tomorrow, I might add another hour to the strength training with Chest, Shoulders, & Triceps and the dreaded Ab Ripper. Then again, with those many, many energy-draining push-ups might derail me from pursuing an extra exercise. Everything’s up in the air.

Man, I’m all gung-ho with this crap. Like I’m possessed. Not that you’d notice changes in me. When you see me now, you’d still think that I live a very couch potato lifestyle.
